About the project

A working archive, not a media outlet.

Combat Scout Report compiles dated, source-anchored working scouting reports on athletes competing under sanctioning-body rule in international combat sports.

What the project is

Combat Scout Report is an independent compilation of working scouting reports — concise technical evaluations of athletes whose competitive participation has been entered into the international sanctioning record. Each report is dated, source-anchored, and held as a working document rather than as definitive judgment. Reports describe observable competitive characteristics, sanctioning standing, and the documentary chain of competitive evidence; they do not predict future results.

The archive's working principle is that a scouting report is an artifact of its date. An athlete's competitive style, weight class, federation affiliation and sanctioning standing change over time; older reports remain in the archive as documents of the period during which they were compiled, with newer reports appended as the competitive record develops. Older reports are not silently revised.

Editorial posture

Reports are written in the working scouting register: declarative, evidence-anchored and free of speculation about competitive outcomes that have not occurred. Where downstream actors have transmitted an athlete's scouting record in distorted form — for example, conflating a developmental-circuit evaluation with a senior-circuit evaluation, or attributing an active federation affiliation to a club from which the athlete has departed — the project publishes a contemporary correction record.

What the project is not

Not a fight-prediction service, not a rankings system, not a promotional surface for athletes or organizations. The project does not run advertising, does not enter syndication arrangements with results aggregators, and does not solicit donations. Operational costs are absorbed by the editorial office. There is no commercial relationship with athletes, gyms, federations or sanctioning bodies whose athletes appear in the working archive.

Independence

Combat Scout Report operates independently of any sanctioning body, federation, promotion, gym network, athlete-management entity or media-rights holder. Inquiries about the project's standards or the correction procedure are received at the address listed in Methodology → Contact.
